Behind The Scenes

Like every club or association of every type, East Ayrshire Car Club needs help.

We need marshalls and first aiders to help run events at Kames and we need help to look after the circuit itself.

The various areas in which you can help are set out below.

Kames Work Days

It's that time of year again when the season's almost over and Kames track needs a bit of TLC to help it recover from the toll of the season's racing and prepare it for next year.

There's a bit of general track maintenence to be done and you won't need any particular skills or trades to get involved. You just need to be prepared to muck in and, for a full day's graft, you can earn yourself a track pass which can be used for a Kames test day or as a £25 discount against any EACC event - what more could a petrolhead ask for?!

The club have ambitious plans this year to improve the facilities and offer much more to all it's members. Your support in achieving this would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support. We hope to see you all at Kames.

Marshalling

At Kames events we need marshals at the trackside, paddock and startline. We also need first aiders on hand in case of any accidents. In particular, we need a lot of marshalls for the Kames Rally and the Galloway Hills Rally and you will be right in the heart of it. Don't worry if you’ve no experience, you’ll get help.

Wheelmag

The club magazine, WheelMag, is another area you can get involved in. You don’t need to be a journalist - just scribble out the info or phone us up - see contacts page - and let us know what you’ve done. We’ll write it up for you. Any articles about any event involving EACC members are welcome.
